The children were very excited to hear our special exciting news – We were going to the AXIS Theatre again to see another show!

The show is called Maura Tea Party. Maura was setting up a special Tea Party for her Fairy Friend who very kindly made her a new pair of shoes.

As Maura is getting ready, her other Fairy Friends needed some help. Maura kindly makes Lavender, Camomile and peppermint tea for each of her friends, but sadly, when it was time for the party, Maura wasn’t ready. She was upset and began to cry.

“It’s okay”, say the Children, “Don’t cry, we can help you. It’s okay, let’s just do it now”. The children offer kind words of support and help to Maura. Maura then realises the party doesn’t have to be perfect, once everyone is together, that’s what’s important.

Maura invites the children to decorate cups and have a big tea party together.

Back at Nursery, Joann and Sinead put lots of Tea Party materials, tea bags, cups and tea pots into the Home Area for the children to continue their Tea Party during Small Group Time and Work Time.
