At Small Group Time the children join their small group a short (15-20mins)   planned activity.

Each child has their own set of materials and chooses how to use them. 

The teacher gives a brief introduction and works alongside the children observing and commenting on their actions, thoughts and ideas. 

The teacher acknowledges and encourages the child’s efforts, promotes independent problem solving and assists the children in carrying out their intentions.
