Gardens

We are proud to offer two wonderful outdoor spaces that give children the freedom to explore, play, and learn in nature.

  • Upstairs Garden: A playful space with swings, slides, a sandpit, and climbing equipment where children can develop strength, balance, and confidence while enjoying active play.
  • Downstairs Garden: Divided into two areas – a grassy section for planting, digging, and imaginative play, and a play area designed for bikes, ride-on toys, and group games that encourage cooperation and social skills.

Outdoor play is an essential part of children’s development. In line with the HighScope approach, our gardens provide opportunities for active learning where children make choices, solve problems, and engage their whole bodies in discovery. Whether they are planting seeds, climbing, or racing on bikes, children are building physical skills, exploring cause and effect, and developing independence.

Spending time outdoors also nurtures wellbeing, creativity, and a lifelong love of the natural world.
