We were super excited to go to the Theatre today! We had our breakfast            in Nursery, got our coats and Hi-vis Vests on, and off we went.

When we got to the Theatre it was a little dark, there were lots of seats. In the performance area there was a man called Daryl sitting behind a large light up table. We found our seats, got comfortable and smiling listened to the gentle music        that was playing.

Then the show started. There were lots of white squares. Daryl built houses with the squares, and we met three orange cube characters. One was grumpy one was worried and one was very happy. They went on the bus to the school and to the park. One of the characters had an accident and got squished. Daryl tried to fix the cube, but he could only make it into a ball shape. The ball character can’t fit in the square world anymore, he’s the wrong shape. He gets upset and feels left out. Daryl has a great idea; he helps them to move the squares and blocks around to build a new world. Now the ball can join in, and he is happy again.

We all got a turn to make our own shapes with play foam and Daryl made a                             big heart shape. Before we left, we got a photo with Daryl, then headed back.
